I put myself to look upon ancient traditions which have nourished
me. This is why I am forever searching for the memory of culture
and trying to recover or remember in my work ancient and wise
ways to dance and act.
Therefore, whenever I think and ask myself, what I really want to
teach and share, I say that it is the same kind of initiation experienced
by me when I discovered the oriental cultures of India and Japan.
I feel close to the concept of dance in those parts of the world and
their traditions, and have been aiming at a kind of theatre and
dance, which because of its principles and its never ending search
needs different spaces and persons, unspoiled by commercial and
commonplace thinking which characterizes „ready-made“ artists.
It is indispensable for our work to share the idea of finding our inner
selves, of starting together for an exploration of unusual things,
unrevealed secrets (not even to the teacher), experiencing a metamorphosis towards a state of fluidity and distillation, something like realizing a process within the alchemical space of our bodies,
minds and spirits.
All I have to know is but the eternal
whisper touching the branches
of the tree I am, I only have to
learn to listen ... to the wind
